What a lucky boy I am! Again the film distributors, Lionsgate UK, commissioned me to create a film website. I really enjoy these creative projects. This site is for a film called Wah Wah directed by Richard E. Grant and starring great actors such as Gabriel Byrne, Miranda Richardson, Emily Watson, Julie Walters, Nicholas Hoult (from About A Boy) and Celia Imrie. It is based on true events from Richard E. Grant’s childhood. Set at the end of the 60’s as Swaziland is about to receive Independence from Great Britain, the film follows the young Richard E. Grant through his parents traumatic separation.

Like the Pierrepoint site, the brief was to create a simple site where people could see the trailer, read about the film and find out where it was showing. However, this time I spent more time being creative and designing the layout. I wanted to visually capture the essence of the crumbling British imperialism in South Africa at the time the film was set. I found some really gorgeous stamps from the period that really inspired me and used these to create a ‘Postcard’s from Swaziland’ themed layout.

Also as part of the site I also re-appropriated a little Pacman game starring Julie Walters and Celia Imrie. I hope they don’t mind too much /:-)/
